Our new website!

We're back, baby! It took a bit as life took the best of us but here we are, ready to rock!

So what happened since last November?

Well, Mike Jimmy had his traffic accident that sent a ball rolling that threw the entire family's life around. In the end they're all good things, but it has been a rough time. Don't get hit by a moped while you're on a bike, kids.

I let the old Faeries and Ents website end. There was no proper way to integrate payment methods like iDeal, making it very hard for Dutch people to buy our books. This was a decision I had already made before the accident, and I had meant to move quietly and easily during last November.

Where are we going from here?

On. We're going on and further. We're not stopping even as life got us down really hard. A few weeks ago I had Castlefest, the biggest fantasy festival I take FaE to, and I needed the mental boost of seeing what I'm doing it for.

As the market opened on Friday, I was greeted by an old fan of Life On Cora of 3 years ago, wanting to expand his collection with Fru and the Building Blossoms and The Bond now so he'd be complete again. I was nearly in tears after from how much that did to me after a very rough time.

I'm not done. Life On Cora isn't done, and neither is Faeries and Ents.

This is the script for Life On Cora #8 - The Seedling. (WIP title)

This is by our new writer on the team, Peter Luyke, and will feature Atzi again! I am currently storyboarding it and enjoying every second of it.

This book is definitely for the people who love the worldbuilding and speculative biology side of the series.

My wife had a very important meeting, so I was sent off to the living room table. Normally I get to work in my workspace in the attic right behind her. I have two main screens and my pen display on the left to do digital art. That's an art table turning up to 85 degrees vertical for when I do my traditional inking.

What about Faeries and Ents' other series?

Currently we don't have the financial means to expand our library much further, but we'll start going back to making new comics with our creators and expanding their ongoing series. Depending on how life is going, I may even organize a brand new anthology!

Currently I will look up my fellow creators and see how they are doing, as getting a wife and a kid really threw me off since 2023! Get a life, they said! ...So I did and it's wonderful but now I don't need art as escapism anymore meaning I draw less! Contact has been pretty slow since then and I had decided to put FaE on a low heat for a bit until things settled for me.

So here we are now, ready to get back into things and be the centipede that an indie creator needs to be.

We're building many worlds, one story at a time, and I can't wait to share them with you.
